Seattle Slew entered the 1977 Triple Crown as an undefeated racer. After winning the Triple Crown, he was beaten in the next two races, but finished off his racing career with 1st and 2nd places.
Seattle Slew appears slightly heavy on his front end opposed to his rear end. His muscling is not nearly as noticeable as other horses, but his legs do not appear to have major conformational faults, other than being slightly buck kneed in his right front leg. His croup looks to be higher than his withers, which could also attribute to this heavy front end.
