I’ll Have Another, the winner of the 2012 Derby and Preakness, is yet another lost cause for the Triple Crown. Before the Belmont Stakes, ultrasounds revealed chronic tendinitis and osteoarthritis. The use of painkillers in his afflicted legs is cause for concern and could be the reason for his success in the first two legs of the Triple Crown. Because of his injuries, he now stands for stud at Big Red Farm in Japan.
This horse is very muscled in his front end as well, but his barrel is not very deep. His legs look straight and his cannons do not appear to be too long comparing front to back. His neck is thicker than some of the other racers, which could add the extra weight to his front legs and could also give the allusion of a heavy forehand.
