Gallant Fox was famous for his three 1930 Triple Crown races. He was successful in all. During this time The Preakness was the first race to run, followed by the Derby and then the Belmont.
Gallant Fox is fairly acceptable in conformation. His rear legs are straight while his front legs may have a slight bend due to bucked knees. His neck ties in high to his body, but it appears that the topline has a slight upward bend called a ewe neck. This is very poor for conformation although it would not influence his running ability.
