Regret was famous for her victory in the 1915 Kentucky Derby. She was the first filly to ever will the Derby and competed in a field of 16. Out of her total of 11 starts she placed first 9 times.
Conformationally, Regret is acceptable, but not flawless. Her throatlatch is refined, allowing for a strong airway to breath in plenty of oxygen during a race. Her neck is long to allow for maneuverability. She is fairly muscular, with a short back and loin. Her knees are even with her hocks and it appears her withers are higher than her croup, which allows for easier movement. Her rear legs stand “camped under,” which is not as ideal as a perpendicular line down the back of the cannon. She could be considered “sickle hocked.”
